Building Self Esteem Through Body Image

First I would like to tell you the most important message I can ever tell you about Body Image.

You are beautiful, unique and wonderful. Just the way you are. I know it sounds cheesy but it is true.

We just have to change the way we see ourselves. Have you ever known someone who you thought was so beautiful and they just don't see it themselves. It mazes me when they can't see.

We will work on Body image in several different ways:

  • Exercise.... Fitness is the key. Exercise not only makes you fit, but it makes you feel better, mentally. It is scientifically proven that exercise releases endorphins in the brain, that produces a sense of euphoria. Which in turn gives you a sense of happiness. It also helps to fight obesity.

  • Eating Well... Having a good diet is not eating leaves and drinking wheat grass all day. It's more about portion control and thinking bout what you are eating. I am no rabbit and I am assuming you aren't one either.

We will cover everything from cardiovascular to weights to yoga and Pilates. I will only be telling you about exercises that I do.

We will break them down one exercise at a time, one day at a time.

Trying different workout routines that I use and love. Trust me you will feel 100% better.

Who needs a personal trainer, when you have friends and good motivation.

Sports are a good thing to get into also. Finding a local league or after work pick up games for your favorite sport can do wonders for your self esteem.

Eating well is also key to a good body image. We will work on various recipes that are quick and easy to make. Once in a while we might play with a good size recipe that I think is worth the time and effort.

But the importance of portion control and knowing what you are eating can't be stressed enough.

We will also cover binge eating and emotional eating, which can throw of any good diet(The dreaded "D" word, I personally don't believe in "diets" but I will use the word in certain instances because its a widely use term) right off its tracks.

We will also touch on Eating Disorders and how they effect your self esteem.
