How to Love Yourself in 5 Easy Steps

Learning how to love yourself is a crazy idea, I know. But we all truly need to learn out to do it. Because we deserve it.

  1. Give yourself "ME" days

    Make one day completely about you. Your happiness is your number one priority. We get caught up so many times on being nice to others and doing things for our spouses, family members and friends. That we forget to do that kind of stuff for ourselves.

    You might be wondering what I mean by doing things like you do for others. Well it is exactly what it sounds like. Buy something for yourself, surprise yourself with something nice.

    I am a real big movie person and one day I left work 3 hours early and saw a movie. It was fantastic, I ate what I wanted to eat and watched what I wanted to watch.

  2. Think About What You Really Want For Yourself

    Think about what you really want. Not a new car or that big diamond ring. I am not talking about materialistic things. I mean think about what you really want out of life. A loving family? A lifetime of being a bachelor? You need dig deep and don't be afraid of what you find. Knowing yourself is one of the best gifts you can give yourself.

    It took me a while to answer some of those questions. You won't figure everything out in one day, but it will be liberating when you start realizing some things about yourself. A lot of people are going through life not knowing who they are.

  3. Forgive Yourself

    No need continue to beat yourself up over past mistakes. Learn from your mistakes, that is why you make them. There is nothing that you do that is unforgivable. Some people carry their mistakes all of their lives. Like big boulders.Let go of these negative feelings and you will be free.

  4. Live Healthier

    Learn how to love yourself by living and eating healthier. Start working out on a regular basis, even if it is only for 30 minutes a day. Walk, ride, jog, lift weights or do push ups. It really doesn't matter what you do, just do something. You will extend your life by becoming more active.

    Along with the more active lifestyle, watching what you eat important too. If you eat the wrong thing, it can really sabotage your fitness goals. Minimize the sugars and simple carbs, eat more fruit and veggies.

  5. Be Proud of Your Achievements

    Don't be shy when you accomplish something. Being humble is a good thing sometimes, but you deserve the recognition for what you have done. I am not saying go around and tell everyone you see including strangers. But if you did something great, don't be ashamed to share it. Giving yourself the credit you deserve is a huge part of how to love yourself.
